I stand for safer, better-maintained roads, a healthier Lake Scugog, responsible growth that protects our rural character, better communication and transparency, equal attention and services for Island residents, and responsible spending of your tax dollars. I also want to make sure those on Scugog island feel heard.

Why I’m Running
I’ve been lucky to call Scugog Island home for over 22 years. I live here and I have raised my family here, and I know what makes this community such a great place to live.
It’s the people, the small-town feel, the way neighbours look out for each other, and of course, Lake Scugog and the natural beauty that surrounds us.
I’ve worked as a maintenance professional with the York Region District School Board, where I’ve learned the importance of keeping things working, dealing with problems when they come up, and making sure money and resources are used wisely.

I believe that same practical, common-sense approach is needed at the Township.
I decided to run because I feel Scugog Island needs a stronger voice at Council.
There are issues we’ve been talking about for too long, especially our roads, municipal services, communication, and how we manage future growth.
I’m not running because I think I have all the answers. I’m running because I’m willing to listen, speak up, and work to get things done.
I want residents to feel like their councillor is someone they can actually reach, someone who will return their call, hear their concerns, and bring those concerns to the table.
I care about this community and I want to help keep Scugog Island the special place it has been for generations, while making sure we are prepared for the future.

Keeping up with our aging infrastructure while managing growth responsibly. We need to fix and maintain the roads we already have, make sure our infrastructure can actually handle any new development, and protect our services and natural environment For Scugog Island in particular, our roads and infrastructure need more attention. We can’t keep putting off necessary repairs while continuing to add more pressure to the system.
