Lynne Rempel
Ontario-based artist Lynne Anderson Rempel creates still life and landscape oil paintings that evoke emotion through movement and light. Inspired by the northern landscapes of Ontario and the prairies of her childhood, her work celebrates the quiet beauty of everyday moments.
"I work from my own photographs and favour a loose, expressive brushstroke influenced by impressionism. My varied subject matter reflects a lifetime of experiences that continue to inform my creative practice. Through my paintings, I aim to leave viewers with a lasting sense of warmth and connection.
I discovered my passion for painting at age 25 and, following a career in business, fully embraced art after retirement. Early studies at the Winnipeg Symposium of Art and mentorship under master artist Joyce Anderson helped shape my individual style. My work is held in private collections, has been exhibited in several art spaces, and I am a member of the Port Perry Artists' Association and the Scugog Council of the Arts."
